THE 2009 SEASON IS OFF & RUNNING!!!
Welcome to the 2009 hockey season! We have much to cheer about again this year, entering yet another Magpies team into the local competition. A third men's team (consisting of many fathers and their sons) has been formed to contest the rugged B Grade competition, which for the first time in many years is commencing from the start of the season.
A big welcome is extended to all of our new players, as well as to the many returning players who have had a year or so break.
Magpies now have seven teams in all - 3 women's teams (2 x A Grade and 1 x B Grade) and 4 men's teams (1 x Premier League, 1 x A Grade and 2 x B Grade).
A huge thank you to our sponsors again this year, we could not do without their generous support. Click on the Sponsors page to view them all.

2008 Wrap Up!
The 2008 season was fantastic for our Club kicking off the year with our huge 50th Year Anniversary celebrations on the Anzac weekend. Over 200 people attended both the Friday night drinks and the Dinner held on the Saturday evening.
The Magpie women excelled in 2008 entering a third team into the competition for the first time in about 20 years. Although the A Grade team dropped the Premiership cup for the first time in six years (and only the 3rd time in about 15 years!), Magpies Black took home the B Grade crown. However the new team, Magpies White were unlucky not to face their sisters in the Grand Final after being narrowly beaten in the Final in their debut season.
The Magpie Men also had a stellar year, showing off on Grand Final Day by making it a very 'Black' and 'White' affair. The 'Blacks' took the cash all the way to the Railway Hotel, beating 'Whites' 3-1.
Our website was launched in November 2007 with the purpose of enabling information about our 50 Year Anniversary Reunion to be accessible by past and present Magpie hockey players everywhere. And also for both the Premier League and local competition draws and results to be available online for our members, as well as news and information about social do's and club matters.
The website will be continually added to, so check it out regularly for the latest news and photos.
